Terms of Service
Last updated 8 July 2026
These terms govern your use of BurgerParity (burgerparity.app), a free tool operated by Matthias Marchione. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the site.
What BurgerParity is
BurgerParity suggests recommended prices for your mobile app, country by country, using the Burger Index as a proxy for local purchasing power. It is an informational tool to help you make a decision.
It is guidance, not advice
The prices we show are a defensible starting point, not financial, tax, or legal advice. You decide what to charge. We do not guarantee any particular outcome (more sales, more revenue, or anything else). Always sanity-check a number before you ship it.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep the underlying data reasonable and current, but we do not warrant that it is accurate, complete, or uninterrupted. Exchange rates and index values move, and rounding to store tiers is approximate.
Acceptable use
Please use the site fairly. Do not attempt to break, overload, or abuse it, do not scrape it aggressively or hammer the API past its rate limits, and do not use it for anything unlawful. We may restrict access that threatens the service or other users.
Intellectual property
The site design, brand, copy, and code are owned by Matthias Marchione. The underlying burger-price data is published by The Economist, and belongs to them, we simply reference it. The price recommendations the tool produces are yours to use freely for pricing your own app.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Matthias Marchione is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of revenue or profit, arising from your use of the site or reliance on its recommendations. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Changes
We may update the tool or these terms over time. Material changes will be reflected by the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it will be handled by the competent French courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections you enjoy where you live.
